The Star Council Chronicles: A Spiritual Ascension Diary

In November 2024 I was unaware that there was this 'thing' called Spiritual Ascension or Awakening. Despite having practised energy healing for some 30 years, this global movement had completely passed me by. Until it knocked on my door one night.

You may be wondering what it is. Basically, Spiritual Ascension is a process of awakening to your authentic self and integrating your soul's essence into your physical existence. It involves expanding consciousness and transforming physical experiences through spiritual awareness. I'll explain it more fully in a separate blog, because I want to keep the Star Council Chronicles focused on the experience, which I decided to record in diary form. This is the first of a series of extracts from the diary.

Of course, when I thought about it, November 2024 wasn't really the beginning of my ascension story, but it was the moment that brought 'ascension to my attention. It began in late 2020 when I had my first ever psychic medium reading. I had been following a local medium's posts and had interacted with her a couple of times. I felt drawn towards having a reading, even though not once during some 30 years of working with energy as a healer, had I ever contemplated it before. I’d had tarot readings and my astrology chart done, but consult a medium? I just didn’t feel attracted to it, even though my astrologer, Sophia, had pointed out that having psychic ability was indicated in my chart. However, at the same time, she had said I would need to choose whether to use it or not. At that time, I chose to ignore it.

Finally, one day, after much procrastination, I decided to take the plunge and I messaged her, asking for a reading. Her response was, ‘I’ve been expecting you.’ Oh, right! Really? I made an appointment for her to come to my house. The day came and Alison arrived. We went to the room I use for energy healing sessions, and that’s when she stopped, looked at me and said, “I’m not sure why you need me to give you a reading, when you can do it yourself.” I didn’t know what to say. Then she added, “The power is pulsating off of you.”

During the reading, I asked her about John, my ex-husband and father of my son. She concentrated for a moment and then pointed out the window, saying, “He’s over there, but it’s difficult to hear him.” The strange thing was that where she was pointing to was where John and his sister owned an apartment, about five minutes walk from mine. Then she said, “He says he’s not going to talk to you through me, because you can talk directly to him yourself.” 

That’s when I realised that it had been John all along, pushing me towards having a reading so I could discover my own ability. 

For some days after I thought about this, and then made a decision to study psychic mediumship with Alison. It was a basic, six-week starter course. That was eventful in itself, as we discovered that I also had the ability to be a trance medium. This is when the medium is able to allow a spirit to speak through them, using their physical body. It’s something that a medium shouldn’t do without another medium present, because you’re allowing another spirit to inhabit your mind and body. 

Alison had seen my face change while I was meditating, and she did drawings of the spirits she saw coming through. One was a Mongolian shaman, the other what looked to me like a hippy guy from the 70s. But Alison wasn’t the only one who had seen me suddenly change my form, as I learnt later.  My friend Mandy confessed that one night while she was at my house, she’d seen me transform into a young girl, and that even the sofa and wall behind me had changed. What she described, including what I was wearing, exactly matched a photo of me aged about five in my parent’s house. I have to admit that after this revelation, I became a little nervous about meditating with others around, in case I suddenly changed my appearance. 

And then another strange thing occurred while studying with Alison. One night, as I was going to sleep, I saw bubbles of coloured energy entering my Third Eye and I became aware of a sound like electric buzzing airwaves that seemed to hang in the air, beyond my ears, and they had a shape like a ECG reading. I mentioned this to Alison, who merely, smiled, nodded and said, “A bit like tinnitus?” I knew about that condition, but only in a negative way, and until recently, I thought that’s what I had. 

At first the sound came and went, but very quickly it became constant. I thought that perhaps somehow I did have tinnitus, and of course I did endless searches, none of which gave me a solid answer. Until one day I thought, no, I don’t have tinnitus, I am hearing the sound of the Universe. More searches took me to the answer I needed, and I discovered this phenomenon is known to some as The Sound Current, and I’ll come back to that later on. This is connected to downloads that bring us new information and upgrade our DNA to align with new, incoming energies that help us to elevate our vibration and awareness. A tweet I’d spotted on X, alerted me to this idea, and so this sound, which is always with me, and which gets louder when I’m in quietness or meditating, became a positive power. Not that it had ever really bothered me, which is why I was reluctant to identify it as the condition of tinnitus that incapacitates its sufferers. 

I went on to take another mediumship course with the College of Psychic Studies in London, tarot and soul mission courses on Udemy, and then in 2023, while editing an autobiographical book, I discovered the quantum field and Joe Dispenza meditations. 

Using his meditations was a revelation. My first attempt at following his meditation that opens access to the quantum field was difficult to comprehend at first: why did I need to feel the space between my ears in space? That’s a question I eventually found the answer to on Medium, a publishing platform, in an article “Sensing Space in Meditation’ by Peter J. Hill, a neuroscientist.

Most importantly, the feeling I experienced when I entered the quantum energy field was one of boundless joy, so much so that I wanted to repeat it regularly. I can only describe this joy as like the surge of power that enters our energy bodies through the voices and instruments of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy: a mighty wave that makes me grin from ear to ear while in a meditative state, a bursting open of the heart which after months of practising Joe’s and other quantum field teachers I found I could enter spontaneously, an overflowing feeling of love for everyone and everything, a smile cracking my face even as I walked the dog. 

And then, one night in late November 2024, this feeling, this joy arose in me as I was lying in bed. However, it brought with it a new experience; an almost out of body one, in which I experienced the dimensions of my energy body. With my eyes closed, I expanded in length as a wave of extreme peace and relaxation washed over me. I was bathing in an energy soup of nothingness, just energy. Consciousness of my body had disappeared. Although I felt a little nervous, I didn’t bring myself out of this state. Then I heard the words ‘Star Child’, and sometime soon after I returned to my body. It was shortly after this that The Star Council made contact, asking me to relay messages through channelling. I wasn’t sure if I could do it, but eventually I said ‘Yes’. My commitment to it was necessary to proceed. So, I committed, and that was the beginning of what follows in these Star Council Chronicles.

My intention is to support others who are awakening to this journey and are perhaps wondering what the hell is going on. It can feel like a crazy place to be, until you discover just how many others are experiencing it as well, and you realise you're not alone, nor losing your mind; you're simply travelling home.
